The Basketball Heart Beats in Bor: KK Rudar 1903 Brings Children Back to Sport!
14 May 2026
KK Rudar 1903, in cooperation with four primary schools from Bor, is organizing a major basketball event for 5th and 6th grade girls in Bor.
After the excellent organization of the 1st Women's Minibasket Festival, KK Rudar 1903 continues with its successful activities. Bor is a city of basketball, and KK Rudar 1903 is actively working to promote both the club and our city through events like this.
With the aim of further popularizing basketball among girls, the club, in cooperation with four primary schools from Bor — “3. oktobar”, “Vuk Karadžić”, “Dušan Radović” and “Branko Radičević” — is organizing a major sports event for 5th and 6th grade girls, which will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
The tournament is scheduled to begin at 10:00 and will last until 15:00.
Around 60 girls from local schools are expected to take part in the tournament. Through play, socializing and fair play, they will have the opportunity to take their first basketball steps and, through this event, become true basketball players. Tasty refreshments — croissants — will be provided for all participants, while the best team will take home a valuable trophy!
The event will be held at the USC “Bobana Momčilović Veličković” sports hall in Bor.
We invite all parents, teachers, students and basketball fans to come to the sports hall, support our young players and enjoy a wonderful sports day filled with cheering and fair play!
KK Rudar 1903 will continue to organize events like this in the City of Bor in the future, with the aim of encouraging as many children as possible to take part in sports, while also introducing them to our city and the excellent conditions Bor provides for the development of young athletes.
