🏀 KK Rudar 1903 – Through to the Serbian Cup Round of 16!
KK Rudar 1903 achieved a major result — qualification for the Round of 16 of the Serbian Cup “Milan Ciga Vasojević” and a place among the 16 best clubs in Serbia!
In the second round of the first stage of the cup competition, our girls played a mature and hard-fought game at the Bobana Momčilović Veličković Sports Center and recorded an important win over Sloga from Požega, last season’s participant in the First Women’s League of Serbia.
🏆 KK Rudar 1903 – Sloga Požega 74:61
(16:13, 15:20, 18:11, 25:17)
In a game that carried major importance from the opening tip, Rudar 1903 showed character and quality. After a slower start and some ups and downs in the first half, our team raised the tempo in the second half, took control, and finished strongly.
The key to the win was aggressive defense in the third quarter and a decisive run in the final period that broke the resistance of the team from Požega. The girls played together, bravely, and with full focus — exactly how a club with big ambitions should play.
🎯 A historic step – among the best 16 in Serbia!
With this victory, our green-and-black team secured a place in the Round of 16, where it will face one of the best clubs in the country. At this stage of the competition, giants such as Crvena zvezda, Partizan, and Mega are involved, but Rudar 1903 has nothing to lose — and plenty to gain!
This is one of the biggest achievements in the club’s recent history and a clear sign that Bor continues to live and breathe women’s basketball.
💚🖤 Bor proudly stands behind its club!
Thank you to the crowd for the great support — we move forward with courage!
